1. Data controller
Rui Da Cruz Lda (VAT PT 514 339 705), Rua da Ferreirinha 75, 5050-261 Peso da Régua, Portugal. Contact: info@syncfaro.com.
2. Browsing this website
syncfaro.com is a static website. It does not set tracking cookies and does not require an account. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, requested pages, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting, retained for a limited period. If we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics), only aggregated, non-identifying statistics are collected.
3. Purchases
Purchases are processed by Freemius, Inc., our e-commerce partner and merchant of record. Freemius collects the data needed to complete the sale (name, email, billing details, payment method) under its own privacy policy. We receive from Freemius the customer and licence information necessary to provide the product and support (name, email, licence and site data) — payment card details never reach us.
4. The plugin
The Syncfaro plugin communicates with Freemius for licence activation and updates: this involves the licence key, site URL, and technical environment data (WordPress, PHP and plugin versions). The plugin does not send us your bookings, guests or prices — that data flows directly between your WordPress site and your Channex account under your control. We do not collect personal data of your guests.
5. Email
If you contact us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to help you and for legitimate record-keeping. If we introduce a newsletter, it will be strictly opt-in with one-click unsubscribe.
6. Legal bases
We process data to perform our contract with you (licences, support), to comply with legal obligations (invoicing, tax), and for legitimate interests (site security, product improvement) balanced against your rights.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, by emailing info@syncfaro.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority (CNPD — cnpd.pt).
8. Retention and security
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law (e.g. invoicing records), and protect it with appropriate technical and organisational measures.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the date above reflects the latest version.
